CHARACTER INFO
Character Name: Kara; formally: AX400 #579 102 694
Age: 6+, chronologically; 25+, physically and mentally
Canon: Detroit: Become Human

World Description: Kara comes from Earth in the year 2038. The setting of her story takes place in Detroit, Michigan, USA.

History: “ She needs me. And I need her. It's as simple as that. „

Death: After swimming through icy waters to shore, Alice is weakened and ultimately "dies" in Kara's arms. Kara is left with the decision to either keep going or give up. She gives up, unable to continue and shuts herself down.

What are your plans for this character in-game? Finding the will and need to survive once again. Alice isn't here, she no longer has someone to protect and in her mind― Alice is dead too but why isn't she here too? Is she lost? Swallowed by the darkness? It's a lot of questions that need answering that will, thankfully, give her some will to get herself moving. She'll also need to better learn how to interact with humans especially ones that aren't trying to kill her and better come to understand human feelings and emotions.

What aspects of this game and/or its setting are you most interested in having this character engage with? The darkness pushing down on the world especially if she convinces herself (which could very much happen) that Alice is somehow lost inside of it which is why she can't find the girl in this supposed afterlife. I'm also interested in how she might be capable of surviving and helping others through the odd variety of skills she is programmed with knowing.

How does your character generally get along with other people? She's able to fake it until she makes it. Kara is, at her core, a machine but one with a soul and a lot of feelings. Nevertheless she can be distance and untrustworthy of strangers simply because of her experiences back home especially with humans if they give her any reason to consider the thoughts.

What is your character's mental state upon entering the game? Honestly? Real fucked up. Her daughter died in her arms, Luther is dead, Markus is dead and the revolution is twisted and violet with blood in the streets. She'll be rather convinced this place is one that she might just deserve.

Skills/Abilities: As an android, Kara is notably different from a human on a physical level. She is made to be durable and she can withstand a lot of abuse before breaking and needing to be repaired. Smaller wounds and damage she can take care of herself while a major loss of blood can result in the need for a transfusion before a total system shutdown begins. She doesn't need to breathe, eat, sleep or do most things that humans are required to do in order to survive. She can also change her hair color, as needed, between brown, black, blonde and white.

Needless to say, I'd be absolutely cool with her needing to now breathe, eat and sleep along with all the fun other things normal humans do.

Her class as an AX400 androids also means she speaks 300 languages, can prepare over 9000 dishes and knows over 9000 children's stories.

Flaws/Weaknesses: A general lack of life experience. Kara has "lived" for a little over six years now but due to numerous reboots because of damage, she only has a literal long weekend worth of memories when she would arrive in game. Her emotions are another tough cookie because although she is learning, these are still new feelings that she never knew she'd be capable of feeling before and struggles at times understanding them.

All this together can sometimes lead to bad decision making that can personally affect her and those around her.

Personality: Kara is a "deviant" android, or rather, an android who has broken her programming. Because of this she is faced with options she never thought possible, problems needing solutions she was not programmed to know and the ever changing inner toil that her newly developed emotions are causing. Despite the confusion of all the changes, she has one simple task-- protect Alice. This single cause is her main motivation and the biggest factor that keeps her moving despite all the hardships that the pair face in their escape from the city. Although she, at times, struggles with her new emotions, she knows that her love for Alice is real and believes wholly in the idea that their safety can be found in Canada.

At the same time, her newness to the world makes her naive and nervous with a tendency to act recklessly and excuses that it was for their betterment. This can go as far as her becoming ruthless and selling her comrades out, or selfless in saving both human and androids up into sacrificing herself with Luther becoming an equally important figure in her life and father-figure for Alice in their journey. She, despite everything, attempts to keep her kind heart and empathy throughout their journey. She is also small, and not very strong after all designed to be a caretaker and not a fighter. Kara is forced to use wit and creativity to win. She tries to avoid directly fighting when necessary instead relaying on her programming to creating solutions to problem faster than the normal human.

She is naturally curious about everything although passive in actually pursuing things out of fear of the unknown but finds herself willing to try new things if presented in a safe and comfortable environment. Still as mentioned, Kara does not have the life experience most do and, in a way, can come off extremely naive. She does not take a lot into consideration until the last moment and although she gets better at this-- some things do continue to take her by surprise such as when she is forced to kill. It's clear she dislikes killing but as she continues her journey through Detriot and surrounding area, it's clear she begins understand why it has to be this way even though it clearly weighs heavily on her.

Items: Nothing except for the clothes on her back.
