[ it's probably an accidental text, but kara's phone pings with a message from prompto that's only a pic sometime in the late evening. it's a shot reflected from the bathroom mirror, mostly of his abs and hips, but there's a clear indication that he's very naked because of the bare curve of his ass and thigh pressed against the counter. ]

( not having to sleep means having a lot of time on one's hands. so, it likely isn't a surprise, when he gets a message back with a single emoji. )

[ that's a random message to get without context, but he'll play along. because he doesn't realize she's just seen him mostly naked. ]

( she believes in you prompto, in fact: his phone might just ping with a picture of her own. she's in front of her bedroom mirror dressed in a loose, lacy sort of housecoat clearly very naked herself. )

( is she joking? probably ~~not~~. she is nice enough to send another picture though of her seated sideways on her bed, the robe pooled around her waist and hips now and a smile on her lips. )

[ well... he's definitely really into this, saving the pic and sending her one of his own. this time, he's pushed himself up onto the counter in the bathroom, taking a pic so she can see a lot more of him. his hand is over his groin in an attempt to keep it sort of modest, but he might also be a little turned on too. ]

( it's a good thing she doesn't have to breathe because someone might be red faced and holding her breath just a little too long. still, she doesn't hesitate saving it either. )

[ it's okay to be bold over text, and he's already trying to figure out what he can easily throw on that isn't going to be too difficult to take off. ]

[ he just needs to calm down and put some pants on, stumbling around through his bedroom to throw a shirt on. prompto eventually heads to kara's place barefoot and without anything aside from his device tucked into his back pocket, and when he gets there, he gently knocks on the door before letting himself in. this is definitely a first (sort of) for him, but he's excited, calling out kara's name as he shuts the door behind him. ]

It's me... [ his voice is soft, glancing around as though he expects to find her right away. ]

i'll be waiting 😊

( she's still in her bedroom, idly playing with her device when she hears her door open and close with prompto's soft voice still managing to reach her ears. tugging her housecoat back over her shoulders, she raises and glances out of her room with a soft smile. )

Hey... ( she says, smile brightening as she approaches. ) I'm really glad you came.

[ it probably looks a little awkward that he's standing there without shoes on, but he'd come in a hurry because... well. all prompto has to do is get a look at kara in her coat, and he can feel his heart racing, tugging his device free and setting it on a table he passes as he approaches her. he smiles too, the bit of color in his face causing his freckles to stand out even more than usual. ]

I wanted to. [ he hopes he doesn't sound breathless. and close enough now, he reaches out to take her hand. ] You sure you're cool with this?

( if it does look awkward then kara makes no comment since she's standing here, dressed only in this coat that leaves little to imagination and leaves her own heart racing as she watches him approach. the question earns him a nod of her head, as she reaches out to weave their hands together and she raises onto her tiptoes to press a small, tender kiss to his lips. )

What is it you said? I'm super cool with this. ( she says, grinning as her free hand comes to rest gently atop his chest-- over his heart. ) I told you, I wouldn't lie to you.

[ he likes the casual intimacy of their time together, pressing his hand into hers and feeling himself relax when she kisses him. prompto leans into it, lingering a little so that their noses are practically touching. her skin is so soft, and he just wants to press into her for another kiss. yet, the way she reassures him has him chuckling under his breath, using his opposite hand to gently encourage the one on his chest; all he's got on is a plain t-shirt, which is quite easy to shimmy out of. there's a slight shake of his head so that has their noses rub together. ]

Nah, I know. Just double-checking. [ there's a pause, and he moves in to cut the distance between them. doing stuff like this is so much easier for him now; at least he's not so incredibly hesitant these days. ] Soooo... where were we?

[ the look he gives her is almost coy, though it softens seconds before he tilts his head and kisses her properly this time. ]

( the intimacy of the moment is still refreshingly new to kara's senses. the hesitation that plagued her during their first time together is seemingly better than before but there are still small, careful pauses in her motions at times. as if she is calculating if this is the right thing to do or not? it doesn't take her long to remember though to think more simply, to let herself be guided by her desires and not through any programming.

her thumb drums against his chest, following the beats of his heart as she meets his coy look with a grin before he leans in close and captures her lips in a kiss that she happily returns. her hand, gently encouraged by his own, dips down to splay out across his abs and eagerly pressing her own body closer. already she wants to rid herself of the coat but she really doesn't want to break the kiss just yet. no, she rather likes them (and him) too much to end it too soon even though she's sure there will be plenty more.

yet, she does eventually pull back, she still remains close enough that it's easy to smile against his lips. )

I hope this means you'll send me more pictures of you too. ( her words are playful, ever so coy but soft and gentle. )

[ he knows there's going to be plenty of time for more intimacy, but something about the connection between them sparks a curiosity to know more. prompto kisses her, letting his body relax against hers and leaning into the touch of her hair, and he hums against her mouth, lips trailing along her jaw to her ear to nuzzle into her. he's so bad at talking about things he wants or expectations because he's afraid they're not going to meet at the same point, and rejection is... he doesn't want to think about that right now, or it's going to kill the vibe.

prompto slides an arm around her waist. ]

I can send anything you want any time. [ there's a laugh to his voice, using his body to guide her back a little towards her room. not that he'd be opposed to doing things out here, but. ] D'you wanna try now, or...?

[ he lets it go there, ready to backtrack to pick up his device again, but really, he just wants both of them to get comfortable. and anyway, his own excitement from earlier hasn't faded whatsoever; at least, not by much. she can probably feel it if he presses in against even more. yet, rather than do that, he lets his hand wander down to cup her back. ]

( there's a pleasurable hum to her voice as he nuzzles against her, trailing kisses and trying not to giggle to loudly but still happily as she presses in closer against him. there's a comfort she feels, one that she wants to keep pull in close and not let go just yet. she hasn't give rejection much pause but it's always there lingering in the back of her mind, reminding her of her own self doubts and worries which only bring her closer to him in that attempt to ignore the shadow of rejection lingering at her back.

she's grateful to hear his voice, pulling her away from her own thoughts and giving her reason to smile again. )

Stay with me. ( she replies, leaning in for another kiss and helping lead him along toward her room. her own excitement hasn't died down and, in truth, she wants nothing more than to be with him again. wants to continue feeling his touch on his skin and lips, not wanting to let go of this moment just yet. )

[ all of this is kind of sweet, and it's exactly the sort of thing he wouldn't mind getting to have a lot more. again, there's that thought in the back of his head that they should talk about things, but prompto doesn't want to complicate their friendship – and whatever else might be between them – by overthinking. so, he lets his hands stroke over her hips and around to hold her so he can kiss her for at least a solid minute. he can feel how warm his breath is against her cheek, and he... really needs to get out of these jeans.

he reaches between them to pop the button and almost sighs in relief. surprise, he hadn't actually put anything on underneath because he was in a hurry to come to her place. ]

I'm not going anywhere. [ a short pause, and he reluctantly draws away. ] Hang on – [ and just as quickly, he reaches down to pull his shirt over his head and lets it fall where it may. then, he's fingering her coat with a silent question of whether or not she wants to get out of that too since he's a few seconds from being completely naked. and aside from his wristband, that's really not as big an issue for him as it had been in the past. ]

( there's a small part of her that thinks too, perhaps they should talk about things between them. whatever it was that was between them now. the bigger, more vocal and worrisome half of her fears whatever a conversation like that might bring because (just maybe) her odd status, her non-humanness was somehow a problem. she knows how unlikely a scenario that was but it still sticks to her like a shadow, haunting her motions and lurking in the back of most of her thoughts. she is grateful then, as prompto leans in and kisses her, she is able to push those thoughts down and away for another time.

instead, she focuses on how hot her face becomes once he removes his shirt despite how she is a sheer piece of fabric away from nude. it isn't long before his silent question is answered in full as she unties the knotted fabric around her waist, letting it slip off her shoulders and pool on the floor around her feet. )

Do you want to go to my room or – ( this is still all senselessly new to her as she speaks, red-faced and bare naked before him. still, it's not she wouldn't be against trying new things either. )
